GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem.
Anyone with a desire to stop gambling is welcome to all meetings. There are 3 ways groups meet for meetings, which one is best for you is up to you to decide.
In Person Meeting > Groups are meeting physically at a physical location.
Virtual Meeting > Groups are meeting by a virtual platform via Video platform or a Telephone Conference, audio only. On virtual meetings please note that your contact telephone number may be seen by the telephone moderator, members attending a video platform meeting all persons attending the meeting will see your contact telephone number and name. A person attending a virtual telephone meeting will be asked to identify themselves, should you not identify yourself you will be dropped by the telephone moderator or the video platform host
• Hybrid Meeting > a meeting that joins a physical in-person and virtual platform meeting together.
All meetings have a designation to distinguish the type of Gamblers Anonymous meeting:
(O) – Open Meeting: This is a regular weekly meeting that is open to a non-member, prospective member, or a member of Gamblers Anonymous wishing to attend
(C) – Meeting is Open ONLY to current and/or prospective members of Gamblers Anonymous. Under no circumstances are guests or members of the public permitted to attend. These are known in the Gamblers Anonymous fellowship as a closed meetings to the general public.
(CX) – Meeting is Open to current and/or prospective members of Gamblers Anonymous however closed to the public unless an exception under certain circumstances has been approved by the group. These are known in the Gamblers Anonymous fellowship as Closed Meetings with Exceptions. Most Groups generally do not an allow an exception the day of the meeting, permission may or may not be granted under certain circumstances.
